Training Persecuted Pastors in Northern Nigeria
Bringing Peace in the Midst of Strife
Northern Nigeria is afflicted with religious and ethnic conflict. Christian villages are regularly attacked, churches burned, and children kidnapped. Christian leaders are living under great pressure and often fear for their lives.
The Gideon & Funmi Para-Mallam Peace Foundation is seeking an end to this conflict. In the midst of struggle, they are committed to research, peace-building, and advocacy to foster justice. The foundation brings together both Christians and Muslim leaders, teaching them to biblically resolve conflict while showing the love of Jesus to those caught in the middle of the violence.
One of the most effective resources for peace-building is the Africa Study Bible. Gideon and Funmi Para-Mallam, authors from the Africa Study Bible, are uniquely familiar with this book’s power. As they minister to the persecuted, they urgently need the peace-making resources this book provides.
Because of you…
Your generosity provided $1,768, which was used to completely fund Africa Study Bibles that were placed in the hands of leaders experiencing persecution, displacement, and upheaval. These leaders of suffering communities were also provided with training and counseling for trauma. Thanks to you, the conflict in northern Nigeria is one step closer to reaching a peaceful conclusion. Thank you!
