Providing Bibles for Students in Zambian Schools

Why?

From refugee camps in Asia to bustling schools in Zambia, Light of the World Learning Ministry is utilizing its Bible-based ESL curriculum to transform lives in 92 countries. It is trusted by over 1,100 teachers — and more every day! Designed for volunteers and educators alike, its lessons blend practical English skills with God's timeless story, making learning meaningful and accessible for all.

How?

This ministry actively shares the gospel through their English literacy program in Zambian schools, where access to Bibles is extremely limited. Many teachers and students participating in the program are eager to grow their understanding of the English language and God's Word. Yet, they lack the essential resource—a Bible in a clear, readable translation. The New Living Translation: Africa Edition Bible by Oasis International is uniquely suited for this purpose. By equipping classrooms with these Bibles, this ministry can enrich thousands of young people's spiritual and educational journey, empowering them with the tools to understand Scripture and apply it in their daily lives.

Funding Needs

To fund this project fully, $19 934 is needed. Here is the breakdown of how the funds will be allocated:

  1. For Chipata in the Eastern Province, 1,235 NLT student Bibles are needed for four schools, and 15 Africa Study Bibles for teachers.
  2. For Lusaka in Lusaka Province, 1,503 NLT student Bibles are needed for seven schools and 13 Africa Study Bibles for teachers.
  3. For Kabwe of Central Province, 1,033 NLT student Bibles are needed for ten schools and 21 Africa Study Bibles for teachers.

In order to meet the greatest need possible, your gift will first be used for this opportunity. However, if this goal is already met, your gift will go to support the entire mission of the God's Word for Africa program.

With your help we can continue to satisfy Africa’s thirst for God’s Word.
