Equip 1,000 Rural Pastors in Unreached Areas

Why?

In East Africa, unreached people are hearing the gospel for the first time.

Petros Network is working with rural pastors who are being sent to unreached areas of Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya. Though these pastors are not formally trained in a Bible college, they have a passion to share the love of God with others.

However, these pastors come from very poor and remote areas, making it impossible for them to afford their own Bible. This causes their ministries to be incredibly difficult—can you imagine trying to grow spiritually or preach biblical sermons without God’s Word?

How?

Petros Network supports these pastors to unreached areas through a 3-year church planting initiative, where they receive discipleship and leadership training.

To equip these pastors with the resources they need, Petros Network is partnering with Oasis International to provide an incredible 1,000 pastors with a copy of the Africa Study Bible. The pastors will use this Bible as their main resource for sermon preparation, discipling others, and spiritual growth as they plant new churches in remote areas.

Funding Needs

Petros Network has committed $5,000 towards equipping these indigenous pastors with the Africa Study Bible. To fully fund this project, $10,750 is still needed to adequately equip 1,000 pastors in Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya.

In order to meet the greatest need possible, your gift will first be used for this opportunity. However, if this goal is already met, your gift will go to support the entire mission of the God's Word for Africa program.

With your help we can continue to satisfy Africa’s thirst for God’s Word.
