Bibles for 200 Students in Limpopo, South Africa
Why?
Pastor Desmond is a volunteer pastor in Rooiberg, a small mining town in the Waterberg District Municipality in the Limpopo province of South Africa. He also serves as an instructor with Walk Thru The Bible and actively volunteers to conduct Old Testament and New Testament Bible studies in primary and high schools within his community. This community is plagued by severe poverty and high levels of unemployment.
How?
Through his volunteering, Pastor Desmond has discovered that the majority of the students he ministers to do not have access to the Bible; some have never even heard of it. 200 students at Bakhibidu Primary School need Bibles. The NLT Text Bible provided through the Oasis School Bibles project is the perfect resource to add value to the volunteer work that Pastor Desmond is conducting in the communities in Rooiberg.
Funding Needs
$1,000 is needed to provide 200 Bibles to the students at Bakhibidu Primary School.
In order to meet the greatest need possible, your gift will first be used for this opportunity. However, if this goal is already met, your gift will go to support the entire mission of the God's Word for Africa program.
