Equip Pastors and new converts in rural Christian Communities in Nigeria
Why?
Godwin and Gail Ekanem are a missionary couple that have labored for years evangelizing and raising of church leaders in the rural Christian communities of the south-south region of Nigeria. They are committed to reaching the people in the rural communities through leadership training seminars, workshops. Gail works in the established William Wheatley Theological College, Oloko, Abia State. She interacts with students who are struggling to survive while ministering in their rural stations. Godwin work directly with local pastors and 98 indigenous missionaries serving in very remote villages throughout Nigeria. These students in training, pastors and missionaries cannot afford to buy necessary resources that could help them in ministry. Apart from the these, Godwin and Gail both run a Children's Bible Club (Ages 3 to teens), a ministry to Southern Springs Academy (a rural school), and have opportunity to do outreaches amongst the children and youth in the
villages.
How?
The couple working under the United Evangelical Church are partnering with Oasis International to get 156 Africa Study Bibles and 100 New Living Translation Text Bible Regular Size (Africa Edition) to equip the Student Pastors and new converts across the villages and in the rural Bible College.
Funding Needs
$4,983 is needed to complete the funding of this project which aims to equip 156 Student Pastors with 156 Africa Study Bibles and provide 100 new converts in discipleship training with 100 text Bibles.
