Equip church leaders through the Great Commission Movement, Liberia
Why?
The Great Commission Movement of Liberia aims to fulfill the Great Commission through the power of the Holy Spirit. Its mission is to lead individuals to faith in Jesus Christ, strengthen them in their beliefs, and send them out to win and nurture others in their faith. Additionally, the movement supports the body of Christ in engaging in evangelism and discipleship through various creative methods.
This ministry focuses on the discipleship and training of pastors, evangelists, and young Christians in schools, while also reaching out to communities throughout Liberia.
How?
Many pastors in Liberia lead services without having attended formal Bible school, which limits their effectiveness in teaching and growing their faith. The Great Commission Movement of Liberia is partnering with Oasis International to enable these pastors, Bible class teachers and young evangelists to have access to contextualized Bibles. The ministry conducts training in different locations and supports the gospel ministers in planting many churches. It also seeks to distribute 500 copies of the Africa Study Bible and 1,000 copies of the New Living Translation Text Bibles to pastors and young Christian leaders across Liberia.
Funding Needs
The Great Commission Movement of Liberia has pledged to make a co-payment of $6,000, while $9,000 is needed to complete the funding and enable these church leaders and young student leaders to have access to contextualized Bibles to aid their spiritual development and support their ministries.
In order to meet the greatest need possible, your gift will first be used for this opportunity. However, if this goal is already met, your gift will go to support the entire mission of the God's Word for Africa program.
